Liverpool will look to sign Federico Valverde from Real Madrid this summer after reportedly lodging an offer worth €90 million.
According to a report by Spanish outlet Planeta Real Madrid, Federico Valverde is the subject of interest from Liverpool. And the Reds have tabled a bid worth €90 million to sign the 24-year-old in the summer transfer window. But a move away from Real Madrid seems unlikely for him.
Federico Valverde has established himself as a pivotal figure for Real Madrid in the last few years. The Uruguayan international had to grind his way to the top of the list the Bernabeu.
But he has not looked back since becoming a regular for Los Blancos, with his versatility making him an asset. The 24-year-old excelled as a wide attacker in the 2022/23 season, unleashing a new facet to his game.
He had a tally of 12 goals and 7 assists in 56 appearances across all competitions. Hence, his form has captured the attention of many European clubs including Liverpool.
Will Valverde sign for Liverpool?
It is no surprise that the Uruguayan is on Liverpool’s radar with the Reds lacking a box-to-box midfielder. After signing a creative midfielder in Mac Allister, the Reds do need a strong and physical presence in the midfield.
And Valverde offers exactly the same with him seamlessly replacing Casemiro after his move to Man Utd.
The Reds have offered €90 million to sign the 24-year-old from Real Madrid this summer. But a summer move is unlikely, with Valverde content at the Bernabeu.
Also, Real Madrid will not entertain the offer from Liverpool, considering the Uruguayan international is a star player for Ancelotti.
Hence, Liverpool must identify an alternative to the Real Madrid utility man. And they do not have a shortage of targets, with Romeo Lavia among their targets. But Valverde will unlikely leave Real Madrid to join Liverpool this summer.
