Liverpool might make a move on Gleison Bremer. The Brazilian International just made it in the World Cup squad.

Liverpool are focused on Gleison Bremer

Brazilian center defender Gleison Bremer of Juventus is still a target for Liverpool. Bremer also “teases the imagination” of Jurgen Klopp, the manager of Liverpool. It’s been suggested that Klopp is turning to Bremer in order to “revive” his team, and their defence in particular.

The guy was playing for Torino at the time, and Liverpool were strongly rumored to be interested. Ultimately, the 25-year-old remained in Turin and signed with Juve for £35 million.
And now, less than four months later, Liverpool are reportedly once more pursuing him. But it won’t be a simple transaction to complete. According to reports, Juve wants to keep the Brazilian international and would demand over £57 million to transfer him.

Liverpool plans for the Brazilian International

Liverpool would have undoubtedly been looking for a new center-back if Joe Gomez’s departure had occurred last summer. But that never actually occurred. Gomez ultimately decided to sign a contract extension at Anfield and has already participated in quite a few games this year.

Unfortunately for England, the player’s performance on the field hasn’t always been stellar. Liverpool and Klopp may need to reevaluate their needs in the market as a result. They need a long-term partner for Ibrahima Konate since Virgil Van Dijk and Joel Matip are both close to being thirty and are both good players.

Bremer may still be that choice even if he’s a little older than Konate. He recently had his first opportunity to play at the highest level of football and was selected to Tite’s World Cup squad yesterday. Bremer has seen a meteoric ascent since earning Torino’s prized Defender of the Year title last season.
