Pundit claims Liverpool plans to bring in another player this summer

Football pundit, Frank McAvennie asserted that Liverpool will make one more acquisition this summer despite claims that their hiring process is complete.

Before the transfer window closes, Liverpool will “get somebody else in,” according to McAvennie in an interview with Football Insider.

He thinks that Diogo Jota’s injury would serve as a kind of wake-up call for the Anfield team.

All summer long, Jota has been dealing with a hamstring issue.

Since his rehabilitation has not gone as expected, he was unable to watch Liverpool’s 2-0 win over Crystal Palace yesterday.

Darwin Nuez’s performance in Liverpool’s first two preseason games is also noteworthy.

The Uruguayan international has high expectations coming into Anfield. But his first two Liverpool matches haven’t exactly been the most exciting.

Naturally, because it’s preseason, the performances of each player should be seen in light of their varying levels of fitness.

The Premier League season will officially begin in three weeks. This is the point at which Darwin Nuez will be evaluated by both Liverpool supporters and supporters of other teams.

Pundit Believes Liverpool might sign a Midfielder soon

One speculates that Liverpool will either sign a winger or a midfielder before the transfer window closes.

Liverpool has several options in attack, but they don’t want to rely too much on Mo Salah.
The Reds would be prudent to sign another seasoned Premier League goal scorer, especially if Jota will be sidelined for an extended period of time.

The Jarrod Bowen front has become somewhat quiet. But Liverpool may rekindle their interest in the Englishman if they feel the need to bolster their front lineup.

Additionally, Liverpool supporters hoped that a new midfielder would move to Anfield this summer. A key target before Real Madrid intervened was Aurelien Tchouameni.

Jude Bellingham, Liverpool’s alternative acquisition to Tchouameni, is the Englishman’s most likely future destination. But he won’t be eligible for a move until next summer.

If anyone else joins the Reds’ roster, it is most probable that Liverpool will make a stopgap midfield acquisition. And it might be in the form of Matheus Nunes from Sporting.
