Meeting after 74 years in the Premier League, Liverpool and Brentford meet in an enthralling encounter. What a topsy-turvy ride it was for The Bees and The Reds. Cancelling out each other’s goals, Liverpool and Brentford reach the conclusion of sharing a point each in the Premier League table.
Beginning the first half saw an intense battle between the Bees and the Reds. With Brentford centre-back Ethan pinnock scoring from a dangerous ball in the 6-yard box to give their side an early lead. After which, the Portugues Diego Jota tuck down a header to bring Liverpool back in the game.
Proceeding into the second half, both the teams looked a little drowsy in the defence. Thus, creating chances became a little easy and therefore it ended as a 6-goal rider for the sides. With Mohamed Salah breaking the club record for scoring his 100th goal for the Reds in the least club appearances.
Moving on, Brentford always had a response to hit back and thus within 20 minutes in the scoreline reached to 2-2. Thereafter, a cracking strike from the 20-year-old Curtis Jones gave Liverpool a one-goal cushion in the 67th Minute. Afterwhich, it was all about Brentford, who never gave up and come back with an equalizer in the 82nd minute.
Thus, the points were shared and the mood now turns to Champions League for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
