Liverpool will welcome Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield for the Premier League clash this weekend. The unbeaten side in the league would be looking forward to continuing their heated form against the Seagulls.

So far, Liverpool have proven to be unvanquished. The Reds made many headlines all around the world with a thumping victory in Old Trafford last Sunday. With the current blistering form of the Reds, it’s not an idle situation for any club to face Liverpool.

On the other hand, Brighton are playing some impressive football and are currently sitting at 5th in the table.

Liverpool vs Brighton & Hove Albion: Match Preview

With nine Premier League games played, Liverpool are yet to lose a game. Moreover, the team is thrashing their opponents convincingly by scoring 5 in each of their previous 2 fixtures.

Liverpool are currently the highest scoring side with 27 goals so far in the Premier League. Meanwhile, Brighton are one of the lowest-scoring sides in the league with only 9 goals.

Brighton have a mammoth task to stop Liverpool’s attack and especially the man in form Mo Salah on Saturday. The Egyptian is creating records each and every week. While his dancing feet are delivering some ridiculous goals that are hard to stop for the opponents.

However, Brighton’s early-season resilience caught the eyes of many but results have not gone in their favor in the last few weeks.

Graham Potter’s side are winless in the last five games in all competition, as Manchester City thrashed them 4-1 last week and Leicester City dumped out Seagulls of Carabao Cup in the mid-week.

Having beaten Watford and Manchester United by 5-0, Liverpool will be looking to set up the same scoreline to become the third English top-flight side to win three games with five or more goals.

But not to forget the Seagulls are a good side and can upset any side on a given day. This season Brighton are still unbeaten on their away fixtures and have just conceded twice on away roads.

Last season Seagulls were unbeaten against Liverpool as both sides drew 1-1 at Amex Stadium. Moreover, they surprisingly defeated Jurgen Klopp’s side 1-0 at Anfield in the return fixture.

The league table separates Chelsea, Liverpool, and Man City by two points at the top as all three sides eyeing for the title.

For the Reds, it is important to win against Brighton to continue their title pursuit as both Chelsea and Man City have favorable fixtures.

Team News

Both Harvey Elliott and James Milner are injured and will be unavailable for the game.

Meanwhile, Naby Keita and Fabinho look uncertain about the clash. While goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher is ill.

It would be interesting how Klopp’s lineup will look like, as Klopp will also have in mind Atletico Madrid midweek clash in the UEFA Champions League. Moreover, a win against Simeone’s side will guarantee a round of sixteen places.

Liverpool probable starting lineup:

Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Robertson; Fabinho, Henderson, Jones; Salah, Firmino, Mane.

Liverpool predicted starting 11 against Brighton.

Liverpool vs Brighton & Hove Albion: Prediction

Although Brighton have a good record on roads this fixture is too much to ask for the Seagulls.

Liverpool are in red hot form and teams are floundering against the Reds, so one should not be surprised if Liverpool scores three or more goals with Mo Salah on the scoresheet in this fixture.

We say, it could be Liverpool 3 – 0 Brighton & Hove Albion at Anfield.
