The two best teams in the Premier League have signed two of the best strikers in the world. And fans are hoping for a great showdown between these two attackers. Chris Sutton has also weighed down on whether Haaland or Nunez will be more prolific in the EPL.

The Summer transfer window is on. And teams are looking to get the best out of this and create the most competitive squad.

Liverpool and Man City are without a doubt the two best teams in England and arguably the world. Both the giants had their eyes on this transfer window to make huge moves in the market.

While for Man City, Pep wanted a prolific striker, who can give him Messi-like stats in terms of goal-scoring. Although for Liverpool, Jurgen wanted a long-term replacement for Mane and maybe Salah.

Both the clubs have signed two of the best young strikers in the world.

The Cityzens have signed the 22-year-old beast Erling Haaland. While the Reds have got their hands on the Uruguayan Superstar Darwin Nunez.

Haaland vs Nunez

Now, it’s imminent there were be comparisons and there will be a rivalry.

Rivalry for who will score more goals and have a bigger impact.

Both the players are too good to not be compared.

Overall, with more firepower given to both sides, the Premier League title fight in 2022/23 will be a lot more fascinating.

Former Premier League Striker Chris Sutton weighed in on the debate and said:

It’s an interesting one with Haaland signing for Manchester City. I like him (Nunez), and saw him in the Champions League. He’s a good center-forward and good in the air. Liverpool may have lacked a central striker that’s good in the air. Finishes off well with both feet. Likes to come off that left-hand side. I think they have signed a really good player.

He continued on who he thinks is better:

I think Haaland is the real deal. I think Nunez is good. But Haaland, he is unplayable.

It’ll be a fantastic battle, and come the final few months of next season, both will most likely be flourishing in their respective colours.

Moreover, both Liverpool and Manchester City haven’t made many mistakes in the transfer market recently, and the same will likely be true here.

However, it will be intriguing to watch who leaves because the Reds may lose Sadio Mane, which would be a huge loss.

While there is speculation that Raheem Sterling may possibly depart the Etihad, no agreement on his new deal has yet been agreed upon.
