Ipswich Town have secured the future of their captain, Sam Morsy, with a new contract extension ahead of their highly anticipated English Premier League clash against Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool FC.

Morsy is an Egypt international football player. As of now, he will remain with the Suffolk-based club until June 2026.

This will solidify his central role in the team’s impressive journey from League One to the Premier League through back-to-back promotions.

Since joining Ipswich from Middlesbrough FC in August 2021, Morsy has made a significant impact both on and off the field.

The 32-year-old defensive midfielder has made 131 appearances for Ipswich, contributing 10 goals and consistently setting high standards.

His leadership and dedication have been instrumental in the club’s recent success. And his extended stay is seen as a crucial step as Ipswich prepare for the challenges of the Premier League.
