Mikel Arteta Left Impressed With Liverpool
Liverpool made it two wins out of two in their USA tour after defeating Arsenal by two goals to one. Liverpool will now face Manchester United on Sunday in their final game of the USA tour.
Mikel Arteta was left impressed with the Reds after the game:
“They (Liverpool) are a team that are looking good, that is clear, with ideas they are looking to implement. Every coach has their touch and characteristics that make the team’s style of play. You can see what he (Slot) is doing.”
Mikel Arteta On if he thinks Liverpool will be good under Arne Slot:
“I think so. We all have to start competing and earning our right to show how good we are.“But the team’s looking good. With the games I’ve seen in preseason, it’s clear what he’s been trying to implement. It was a tough game for us.”
First-half goals from Mohammed Salah and Fabio Carvalho helped Liverpool, and Harvey Elliot with a really impressive performance by assisting the two goals.
Arsenal scored one back before half-time with the help of Kai Havertz, but Liverpool’s defence of Quansah and Sepp van den Berg stood strong leaving Mikel Arteta impressed.
