Mohamed Salah equalizes Ronaldo’s Record

The Egyptian King Mohamed Salah equalizes Cristiano Ronaldo’s Champions League record. Ronaldo has scored in seven consecutive away games in Champions League. A record which Mo Salah reached with his goal against AC Milan yesterday.

Liverpool travelled to San Siro to face AC Milan in their final group stage fixture of this season’s Champions League. The home team needed a win to secure their spot for the knockouts. Milan scored at the 28th minute and after 8 minutes we are back on level terms by Salah’s goal. Thus, a shift in the momentum resulted in Origi finding the net in the 56th minute as Liverpool defeated AC Milan 2 – 1.

With their win against AC Milan, Liverpool becomes the first English team to win all their six-group stage match in the Champions League.

A record breaking performance by Mohamed Salah this season

He is also the first Red to score in five consecutive group stage fixtures in the same European campaign. If Salah continues to perform at the current level, surely, a Ballon d’Or is written on the cards for him.
