Mohamed Salah is in form of his life with already having scored 15 goals in 12 games so far this season. His blistering form and his contribution to the club throughout his Liverpool career have led to putting high demands on Liverpool by Ramy Abbas Issa (the agent of Mohamed Salah).

The Egyptian contract expires in the summer of 2023 with a current salary of £200-a-week. According to Football Insider, reports claim that Salah’s representatives are looking for a deal worth £500k per week.

Liverpool may not have any choice but to accept the demand of the agent of Salah.

In Football, there is an assumption as footballers after the age of thirty tend to decline in their performance level. The body becomes more prone to injuries and takes a longer time to heal.

But a lot has changed in recent years as some players take greater care of their bodies than ever. Advancement in science and nutrition does help some to be able to perform at incredible levels even after their 30s.

Mohamed Salah will be thirty next summer and his current contract expires in the summer of 2023. It is not a pleasant scenario for Liverpool to see their best player entering the final year of his contract.

Liverpool Board has a mammoth decision to take regarding Salah’s contract extension after his representative’s demand.

In Recent interviews, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has clearly stated the Egyptian is currently in better form than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.

Liverpool might also be looking to get a big fee from Salah’s departure. But the replacement of Salah would also cost a giant fee and similar wage.

But it would be wrong to consider selling someone who is proving to be currently the best player in the world.

Liverpool have already tied down all their key first-team players with extended contracts and next up should be Salah.

With Salah and his representative’s demand, Liverpool may need to smash their wage budget to more than double to what he is earning at the moment.

The hindsight of accepting Salah’s demand will be if his form falls off. And Liverpool suddenly stumbles with his contract for years at that rate.

But it’s hard to come up with an argument against tying him down to a new deal right now.
