Man City face some serious problems after suffering a double injury in their match against Brighton and Hove Albion

Manchester City played their 32nd Premier League match this season against Brighton and Hove Albion and won 3-0 against the Seagulls, courtesy of goals from their front line Foden, Bernardo Silva and Riyadh Mahrez.

Meanwhile, the Sky Blues are currently leading the league and are just 1 point ahead of Liverpool. They are also in the UEFA Champions League semi-final against Real Madrid, who are looking very dangerous this season after knocking PSG & Chelsea out of the champions league.

Man City suffering a double injury

Yesterday, in the match between Man City and Brighton and Hove Albion, Nathan Ake was forced off at half-time and was replaced by their preferred centre-back Ruben Dias who himself was out due to an injury.

On the other hand, John Stones was also subbed out and was replaced by Oleksandr Zinchenko.

He felt a little bit tight. I didn’t speak to the doctor, I will speak to him in the morning. Even for the doctors he needs to rest a little bit to know exactly the feeling. John went out running and playing. That is a good sign.

He did not make an action and fall down to the grass. He was playing but felt tight. We did not want to take a risk. We will see in the next days

Pep said about John Stones Injury.

Hopefully it is not muscular because we have problems in that position with Kyle Walker and Joao (Cancelo, suspended) from playing against Real Madrid. We will see.

Advantage for Liverpool

Only 6 games are remaining in the Premier League and after losing some players, Manchester City could slip in any match and lose points which can be very huge for Liverpool.

After scoring 4 goals against the Red Devils, they had put the pressure right back on the Sky Blues.

Also, Liverpool are in great form and their intentions are very clear about the title. It will be very difficult for Pep and his team to maintain the 1-point edge. The chase for quadruple is on!
