Player Ratings Liverpool vs West Ham

Goalkeepers & Defenders

Alisson Becker (GK) – 7/10

Looked very comfortable on the ball and had a decent game. The Brazilian made 4 saves and even helped centre-back Konate out on a few occasions.

Trent Alexander-Arnold (RB) – 9/10 (Man of the Match)

Not only did he provide Mane with an assist, but also helped sweep up at the back. He almost scored from a free-kick in the first half and played the most key passes in the game with five. He also created two big chances.

Ibrahima Konate (CB) – 7/10

The Frenchman came up against the formidable Micheal Antonio. While the Jamaican got the better of him on a few occasions early on, he eventually took control. Finished with the most passes in the match (76).

Virgil Van Dijk (CB) – 7/10

A decent game for the towering Dutch centre-back. He won six aerial duels and made 6 out of his 8 long passes. A poor clearance led to Jarrod Bowen almost scoring, though.

Andy Robertson (LB) – 6.5/10

The Scot held his own against the in-form and Liverpool linked Jarrod Bowen. He contributed with 3 key passes and even stopped Bowen in the second half when he was about to score.

Midfielders

Jordan Henderson (CM) – 6.5/10

A tidy performance from the captain. He kept everything tight in the midfield and even came up with 2 key passes. His first half was better than the second though.

Fabinho (CM) – 6.5/10

Not the best of the games from the midfielder, but turn out to be a useful cover as the full-backs strode ahead.

Naby Keita (CM)- 7/10

Despite struggling early on, the midfielder finished with the most accurate passing on the pitch (95%). He was an important component of Liverpool keeping the game together.

Forwards

Mohamed Salah (RW) – 6/10

Despite having one of the best chances of the game, the Egyptian finished without an end product to show for it. Liverpool failed to make clear cut chances for him, which led to poor performance in front of the goal.

Sadio Mane (ST) – 7.5/10

Another game playing in Firmino’s role, another goal for Sadio Mane. Brilliant movement and his striker’s instinct led to Liverpool’s victory in the end.

Luis Diaz (LW) – 8.5/10

Another brilliant game from the new signing. Gave 1 key pass, had 5 shots and was all over the pitch. He showed great touch and showed off his ability to carry the ball forward.

Substitutes

Diogo Jota (RW) – 6/10

Rested on the night. Came in and could have scored to double the lead, but skied his chance.

James Milner (CM) – n/a

Curtis Jones (LW) – n/a

These were our player ratings from the Liverpool West Ham game.
