Although Manchester United are also interested in Adrien Rabiot, it is reported by the Italian publication Football Italia that he will speak with them about moving to Anfield.
The French midfield player and Liverpool manager Arne Slot are now negotiating a headline-grabbing transfer. Slot has not yet made a signing.
Big things happened in the Reds’ engine room last summer. Along with Fabinho, the club captain Jordan Henderson was sent to Saudi Arabia, leaving Wataru Endo, Dominik Szoboszlai, Alexis Mac Allister, and Ryan Gravenberch to fill in.
However, Slot might not be done rearranging the midfield. A global superstar may be on the way since the Dutch coach has different expectations for his midfield players than Klopp does.
Adrien Rabiot At Euro 2024
At Euro 2024, the French superstar played for Didier Deschamps. Rabiot was always chosen above players like Eduardo Camavinga; in fact, he was preferred to Antoine Griezmann during France’s elimination against eventual champions Spain.
“It is believed he is looking for €9 million per season wages, which will be difficult to come by in Serie A, but perhaps easier in the Premier League,”
the report claims. Rabiot is represented by his mother, Veronique.
This is one that doesn’t seem too urgent for the Reds, according to FourFourTwo. The four midfielders who were signed last summer were joined by Curtis Jones, Cody Gakpo, and Harvey Elliott, who all played in centre midfield during the previous campaign.
The 29-year-old presents a chance for the market. It appears more likely that he will join a team rebuilding more than Liverpool, like Manchester United or Newcastle, who will take advantage of his status as a ‘free agent’ to get around financial restrictions.
Rabiot is valued by Transfermarkt at €35 million. After his contract with Juventus expired last month, he is currently officially without a club.
