Liverpool have not been quite this summer, making signings and transfers. Let’s look at how Liverpool summer 2022 transfer has panned out so far.

Julian Ward, the new sporting director, has a lot to do as Liverpool is trying to organize their work from the first team to the academy. The Reds invested money in the transfer of Darwin Nunez and regained it in the transfer of Sadio Mané to Bayern Munich. Players like Takumi Minamino and Neco Williams are also on their way out. Meanwhile, the presence of such young talent in the club means, some loan contracts are imminent.
The transfer window is open until September 1st, so the Reds have enough time to get more signatures across the dotted line and get more deals done

Liverpool FC’s Summer 2022 transfer window – Arrivals

Nunez recently joined from Benfica with an initial cost of £ 64 million. The transaction includes some add-ons that can cost a total of £85m. This may make the Uruguayan the most expensive signature in our history, surpassing the £75m paid to Southampton for Virgil van Dijk in 2018. Liverpool also bought in Calvin Ramsay and Fabio Carvalho, two exciting and brilliant prospects.

  • Fabio Carvalho – Fulham – £7.7m
  • Darwin Nunez – Benfica – £85m
  • Calvin Ramsay – Aberdeen – £6.5m
