Milner has agreed to a new one-year contract with Liverpool. Accepting a hefty wage reduction to facilitate smooth negotiations.
The 36-year-old is nearing the end of his career. And his willingness to accept a lower wage to win the job is a credit to his integrity. As many MLS or middle east clubs will be willing to provide him much higher wages to the player with such a legendary stature.
Milner reportedly turned down two-year contracts with two Premier League clubs, as well as an offer from America.
