Liverpool FC have rejected Bayern’s first bid for Sadio Mane to lure him to Munich. The bid is believed to be really low. Nearly half of what Liverpool is asking for the player. The Saga will continue for the greater part of the summer.

Sadio Mane leaving Liverpool is imminent.

With the Player asking for the leave and Club planning to find a possible replacement. Both the parties want to end this on a rather pleasant note.

Mane has always been respectful to the club and its fans regarding the whole situation.

The Senegalese No.10 wants to try on a new adventure and with 1 year left on his contract, can get his employers a good price.

The Player’s form also is a key factor in his price determination. And with Mane set to finish the Ballon D’or podium, no one can question his form. And that’s why Liverpool is asking for around 42-43 million for the player.

The German Club’s First Approach for Mane to land him in Munich Rejected

According to Paul Joyce,

Bayern’s initial offer for Mane was rejected, with the package on the table guaranteeing only £21 million.

Bayern had also offered £4 million in add-ons. But this fell far short of Liverpool’s asking price, and they were politely declined.

The German club is likely to make an improved offer, albeit it will be interesting to see if it pleases Liverpool.

Bayern is using the Thiago deal as an example. Where Liverpool made initial efforts of 20 million. And they later went on to agree on around 25 million. Thiago was 29 and also had 1 year left in his contract at the time.

And while Liverpool is trying to point at the Lewandowski situation. As Bayern is also handling the situation in a similar fashion as what Liverpool is trying. As Lewa also has 1 year left on his contract.

Liverpool are looking at Benfica striker Darwin Nunez as a possible replacement for the No.10. However, he believes the Reds would not be able to match the price tag for the striker.
