Liverpool are preparing for new bids as their ‘dream’ midfielders are being ruled out for an Anfield move.

Liverpool making important bids to solve the midfield crisis

Due to many injuries to their midfield options, Klopp’s team is severely lacking in depth. That’s why Klopp is ready to add a midfielder in the final hours of the summer transfer window.

The most recent reports state that Liverpool has made a bid for Moises Caicedo. For Douglas Luiz, another has been “made” as the Reds go for their Premier League rivals. As time runs out, two European prospects are no longer in further consideration for the Reds.

The Brighton star might move to Liverpool in recent weeks. But Seagulls manager Graham Potter has made it clear that no offer will be enough to persuade the team to sell the 20-year-old.

The Reds, however, seem to have swept aside those cautions, as The Sun reports that they are ready to make a £42 million offer for the Ecuadorian international. Even though the Seagulls, who are not under any obligation to sell, will almost definitely reject it right away.

Following a number of midfielders’ season-long injuries, Klopp is looking to add another to his long list. Caicedo will be a long-term acquisition for the Reds. And he might be the one to contribute to the next group of players in the future.

Liverpool running out of time

Time is of the essence, and Liverpool are out of options. So, it appears that they are strategically going after players who are already in the country. According to recent reports, Liverpool has made an offer for Villa’s Brazilian midfielder.

In an effort to solve their midfield problems before the transfer deadline, the Reds have reportedly made a £20 million offer for Luiz, according to Torcedores. According to reports, the former City player is keen on changing clubs.

However, Villa might hold out for an increased fee, which is in line with their reported €35m (£30m) asking price from earlier in the summer, should they allow Luiz to leave. If Liverpool is serious about signing him, they will need to reconsider their initial offer.

The Reds were going for much bigger targets this summer, including RB Leipzig’s Konrad Laimer and Inter Milan’s Nicolo Barella. But a transfer for either player is not going to happen. The Reds are looking to upgrade their midfield with the best quality and experience possible.

According to a report in Caught Offside, Leipzig would not permit Laimer to leave. And there is “no chance” that Barella will move to Anfield this summer. Therefore, he is also not an option. This has since been used to explain the rumors of bids for Caicedo and Luiz.

Barella and Laimer both have a tonne of experience competing at the top level, despite playing in the Champions League, Serie A, and the Bundesliga, respectively. However, Klopp may miss out on these players.

And as per the latest reports, Liverpool are set to sign Arthur Melo. Brazillian is a really hot prospect and can solve Liverpool’s problem. The former Barcelona star has a ton of experience playing at the top level.
