Liverpool players boarded the wrong bus in Thailand

Liverpool are into the trip to the far east, but upon their arrival in Thailand, the Reds players boarded the wrong bus.

Jurgen Klopp & Co. have arrived at the far east with a 37-man squad for their Pre-season games in Thailand and Singapore. The majority of the squad members travelled together, except for Mo Salah, Alisson, Kostas Tsimikas and Fabinho travelled on their own way at the end of their respective holidays.

The Reds will take on arch-rivals Manchester United on Tuesday. Later, travel to Singapore to face another Premier League side Crystal Palace on Friday.

For the first time since the Champions League final in Paris, the whole squad have come together. Moreover, this time the squad has a couple of new faces with the likes of Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho.

At the press conference at their arrival in Bangkok, Klopp confirms:

We brought 37 players here,

We have all generations here and we have to use all of them because the boys who were on international duty in the summer only arrived today, pretty much, and they cannot play too long but we will try to give them a few minutes as well.

But at the Suvarnabhumi Airport on Sunday, there took a comical incident for the Liverpool squad.

Jurgen Klopp’s side landed at the Suvarnabhumi Airport, as the Anfield club is scheduled for a one-off exhibition game against Manchester United on July 12.

Upon the team’s arrival, thousands of fans greeted the Liverpool squad members, moreover, a special fully-decorated bus was ready to pick them up from the airport.

However, a situation of misunderstanding led to Liverpool players getting into the wrong bus. As per reports of The Nation Thailand quotes:

After the arrival ceremony, Klopp greeted Liverpool fans and got into a bus with the sticker “Tom Sermyon” instead of the fully-decorated bus waiting for the team.

After the incident, netizens were confused and curious as to why the team did not take the Liverpool bus, while the keyword “Tom Sermyon” also went viral.

It’s an exceptional moment for the local bus company for the huge boost in publicity, thanks to the mistake by Jurgen Klopp and the rest of the squad.

Let’s hope the rest of the trip for the Reds squad goes smooth and as per plan. As the pre-season fixtures are on the verge, we wish them All the best!
