Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai played an exceptional game for Hungary while producing an inch-perfect long pass against the Czech Republic.
The Reds had a successful transfer window this summer as they completed their desired midfield rebuild. And they were also able to do it at around £150M which is quite remarkable in this market.
However, the most exciting and most expensive signing was young Hungarian Dominik Szoboszlai. The Merseysiders secured the deal of the midfielder at £60M from RB Leipzig.
And since joining the Anfield outfit, he has shown signs of greatness from the pre-season.
He attempted a lofted shot from the halfway line against Leicester City in pre-season friendly but goalkeeper Mads Hermansen’s unorthodox save denied what could have been Szoboszlai’s first goal for LFC.
However, his first goal in the Reds outfit came in the last game before the international break against Aston Villa with an outstanding volley.
Liverpool midfielder Dominik Szoboszlai plays an outrageous pass for Hungary
The Hungarian skipper played an audacious long-range pass against the Czech Republic on Sunday evening.
Szoboszlai calmly collected a short pass from goalkeeper Denes Dibusz in his own box. He took a touch, signaled full-back Loic Nego to make a run, and then put forward an outstanding long ball that traveled almost 75 yards.
This goes to show the level of talent and ability the Hungarian international possesses. Jurgen Klopp even commented on his abilities on the official LFC website,
“He has pretty much all the attributes you want to see – and the last thing you would think when you see him playing is he is only 22, so there is a lot more to come when he settles in properly.
Obviously, he has no problem to adapt to everything in an instant, but there is still more to come and we are really pleased.
We are really pleased, from the first day since he was here he is full of energy. [He is] in the middle of the team already and, yes, it’s good news.”
So it is quite safe to say that the Anfield giants have got themselves a very good player and may be a future Reds legend.
An ardent football fan and a proud Red. I take immense pleasure in analyzing the intricacies of the game.
