Liverpool will meet Man City in a mouthwatering clash at Wembley in the semifinals of the FA Cup competition.

The Reds registered a narrow 1-0 victory over Nottingham Forest to secure a place in the semifinals of the FA Cup. For the first time in Jurgen Klopp’s tenure, Liverpool have reached the semifinals of the competition.

Klopp’s men have overcome Shrewsbury, Cardiff, Norwich, and Forest to reach the last four stage of the competition.

Earlier Pep Guardiola’s Man City eliminated Southampton to reach the semis.

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp has send a warning ahead of the meeting against Man City at Wembley

The German says:

We have Watford, Benfica, City, Benfica, City, [Manchester] United and Everton (after the international break),

From a Liverpool perspective these are all massive games and we try to play them one at a time and not all together.

We knew before the game City would be the opponent if we wanted to go to the final anyway. Now here we go.

The further you go in whichever competition the more likely you are you will face City at one point.

I don’t think we are the dream draw for anyone, but it will be a tough tie and we have to make sure it will be tough for City as well.

When and where Liverpool will face Man City in the FA Cup semifinals?

Liverpool will now face City twice in one week. The potential Premier League title decider at the Etihad on 10 April is being followed the next weekend by a Wembley semi-final.

The date for the clash of the big heavyweights is 16 April, Saturday.

A crucial month of April coming up for the Reds. The Wembley game against Man City sits between the Champions League quarterfinal second leg against Benfica and the visit of the arch-rivals Man United at Anfield in the Premier League.
