The long-awaited Liverpool FC Legends Vs FC Barcelona Legends is set to take place at Anfield. The game returns to Anfield for the first time since 2019.

LFC Foundation official legends match is one of the important days in the calendar of the Liverpool Football club foundation. AXA will be the Organiser, who are the official training partners and training kit, sponsors. The match is on Saturday, 26th March 2022. The game is organized to raise vital funds for LFC Foundation.

The last LFC Foundation official legends match was between Liverpool legends & Bayern Munich legends in 2018. The game ended in a 10 goal thriller draw as both sides scored 5 goals each. The 2019 fixture against FC Barcelona legends was postponed due to the pandemic and it’s coming back to Anfield after two years.

Liverpool Legends take on Barcelona Legends as charity match returns to Anfield.

Every Year Liverpool Football club Foundation conducts a charity game to raise funds for the Foundation.

The Money raised from the legends games is used for a variety of projects at LFC Foundation and its charity partners. This includes employability, training programs, health and wellbeing programs, with a focus on mental health. These are very important projects, especially during the LFC Foundation’s COVID-19 recovery support.

A portion of the money will also be sent to the Official Barcelona charity as well, known as The Barca Foundation.

Many legendary faces are set to be back to Anfield which includes Dirk Kuyt, Luis Garcia, Jason McAteer, Jerzy Dudek, Bjorn Tore Kvarme, Vladimir Smicer, Phil Babb, Patrik Berger, and Steve McManaman.

With Covid spreading across the country everyone at Liverpool FC is expecting this fixture to take place as planned. As the money raised can be used for many vital projects in and around the club and community. Especially during this Pandemic time.

Moreover, the fans will be excited to see the return of some legendary figures at Anfield. Nonetheless, it is going to be an exciting watch for the old fans. It will be an event that will be reminiscing the memories of the spectators.
