Caoimhin Kelleher admits the squad misses Jurgen Klopp
Even after a new summer transfer window, Arne Slot has kept faith in the players who joined Anfield under the brilliant German boss. Now, a senior LFC talent who has played under Klopp, has decided to speak out about how important his presence was.
According to Caoimhin Kelleher, the squad still remembers all the good moments with Jurgen Klopp. While speaking to RTE, the interviewer asked him if he misses his former Boss or not.
“Jurgen Klopp said that if there’s a better goalkeeper in Ireland he’d have a lot of respect because he clearly rated you very highly. Do you miss him around Liverpool?”
While giving a proper answer to the question, the Liverpool goalkeeper did not stay away from admitting his feelings. Moreover, apart from answering, Caoimhin Kelleher went on to add how much Liverpool squad misses Jurgen Klopp.
“Of course, obviously he was a big figure. Importantly for me he did take a shine to me and did think highly of me as well. He’s a big miss, I think everyone misses him, but there’s kind of exciting new beginnings as well.”
Since he held the reins of the Merseyside Club for almost 9 years, it is quite normal for players to remember their father figure. But on the other hand, Slot is doing his best to make sure LFC heads in the right direction.
