Mo Salah eyes “Big Trophy” for Liverpool after conversations with Arne Slot

Mohamed Salah, one of the all-time greats for Liverpool, has set his sights on adding another major trophy to his collection this season.

After a strong start under new head coach Arne Slot, Salah believes the Reds have what it takes to bring home a “big trophy” – and he’s not talking about just any silverware.

Salah quest for more glory at Liverpool

Salah has already lifted the Premier League and Champions League with Liverpool, but he’s hungry for more.

Speaking on the Premier League’s YouTube channel, Salah said, “We just need to carry on and try to win a big trophy this season.” While fans cherish victories in competitions like the FA Cup and League Cup, Salah’s focus is clearly on bigger prizes, and Liverpool’s No. 11 is aiming high.

Salah, who grew up watching football legends like Zinedine Zidane and Brazilian Ronaldo, always dreamed of winning the Champions League. He often recalls his early memories of hearing the iconic music before kick-off.

With Liverpool back in Europe’s elite competition, there’s hope that Salah and the Reds can add a seventh European title to their storied history.

Conversations with Arne Slot

Salah has been impressed with new boss Arne Slot, who has guided Liverpool to a promising start this season. “We’ve had a few conversations. I think so far the team is playing good which is the most important thing, myself also playing well,” Salah said.

His own form has been electric, with three goals and three assists in the first three matches of the season. If Liverpool is to win any major silverware this year, Salah’s contributions will be crucial.

Sitting fifth on Liverpool’s all-time top scorers list with 214 goals, Salah continues to dazzle. For a winger, his numbers are nothing short of remarkable. He even compared himself to the legendary Thierry Henry, stating, “I would say Thierry Henry was the one. Titi, I was watching him a lot but he was like still kind of a striker, but he always went to the left side.”

Though Salah humbly downplays his goal-scoring prowess, Liverpool fans know they have something special in their Egyptian King.

If he continues at this pace, he could soon overtake some of the club’s greatest legends on the scoring charts – and perhaps lead the Reds to another unforgettable triumph.
