Apparently, the latest summer signing for Liverpool, Federico Chiesa, is suffering from a speculated injury that saw him leave training early.

After having a dull summer in terms of transfer business, the Merseyside giants felt some relief after they landed long-term target Federico Chiesa.

Even though the Italian star was not a priority for the Reds, who were actively looking for a defensive midfield signing, the arrival of the former Juve forward spread some positivity among the squad members and fans.

This only signing made LFC the lowest-spending club in the Premier League. Many will question how can a club compete in a competition like the PL without making any major signings.

The attacking line for Arne Slot is now stacked as he will have to manage the forwards really well so that no one is left behind.

The pundits and the transfer nerds were also shocked at the fact that Chiesa was signed for only £12.5m which is a crazy bargain for a player of the new No. 14’s calibre.

Well, that question seems to have been answered as with the latest training video.

Is the latest Liverpool signing Federico Chiesa suffering from an injury?

In the latest ‘Inside Training’ video of the Reds’ players which was uploaded on LFCTV Go, Chiesa can be seen leaving the training pitch at AXA Training Centre early after the initial drills (timestamp 13:27).

The team participated in some primary training drills before moving into the attacking and more advanced drills.

Right then the Italian winger walked away from the action inside the facility building, signalling a thumbs-up to cheer up his on-training teammates.

Although he left, his fellow attacking mates, Salah, Nunez, Jota, Gakpo, and Diaz were seen still training.

This incident has raised concerns regarding the fitness of Chiesa and even begs the question if he is injured and was injured when he was signed and probably that’s why he was available for that cheap price.

Whatever the case might be, these are just speculations which may or may not be true but if they are true, then the higher officials are in the direct line of question as to why he was signed at all.
