Liverpool FC asked to pay £10m for Calvin Ramsey
Liverpool FC have enquired about Right back Calvin Ramsey. The Reds want to have a dynamic young backup right-back for TAA. Aberdeen FC have responded to the Reds’ inquiry and put a £10m tag on the youngster.
Liverpool FC have started the 2022 summer transfer window on a really high note.
The Club has completed the signing of one of the hottest young talents in the world, Darwin Nunez. Liverpool broke their transfer record for landing the striker at Anfield.
They will pay €80 Million fixed and €20 Million in variables to the Portuguese Outfit.
Liverpool, basically, have secured the replacement for outgoing Sadio Mane.
Liverpool hoping to sign Calvin Ramsey
Now, the Reds want to secure their future ‘at the back’.
And for that, They have enquired about exciting young right-back Calvin Ramsey.
According to a report, Liverpool must offer £10 million to recruit right-back Calvin Ramsey this summer.
The 18-year-old and his representatives are thought to have held preliminary negotiations with the Reds earlier this month about a possible move to Anfield.
Despite reports that Liverpool had agreed to a £4 million fee with Aberdeen. Sky Sports News believes that the Dons are wanting £10 million for Ramsey, with at least £5 million upfront and another £5 million in add-ons.
Aberdeen set a new record when they sold defender Scott McKenna to Nottingham Forest for £3 million in 2020. And the Scottish Premiership club has since received an additional £1 million following Nottingham Forest’s promotion to the Premier League.
Ramsey is highly valued by Aberdeen following his breakout 2021-22 season, during which he was named Scottish Football Writers’ Young Player of the Year.
Other clubs in England, Germany, and Italy are keeping tabs on Ramsey’s status, but it is claimed that the teenager would prefer a move to Anfield.
Ramsey’s Aberdeen contract has two years left on it after. And the youngster scored once and added nine assists in 33 games in all competitions last season.
