Liverpool fans have reacted on Twitter on hearing that Premier League has appointed Mike Dean as the referee for the Brighton clash. Well, it is clear that Liverpool fans do not like Mike Dean. A fan said that their side is ‘screwed’ after hearing that the 53-year old would be overseeing Saturday’s game.

Many fans believe that Mike Dean hates The Reds, who will host Brighton at Anfield. Fans are worried whether this will hamper their unbeaten run. Liverpool will be looking to capitalize on the wonderful start they have had to the season.

We cannot deny the fact that The Reds have had bad times with Mike Dean in the past. He refereed the match last season when Burnley edge past Liverpool 0-1 at Anfield. He had awarded the Clarets a late penalty that was proven to be controversial eventually.

Mike Dean also awarded Sheffield United a penalty at Anfield last season. The incident saw Fabinho’s foul on Oli McBurnie given as a penalty, which was a free-kick initially.

Liverpool fans worried about Brighton clash

The Liverpool fans are finding it difficult to digest this news. This seems to be suffocating for them as they have been unlucky on terms with Mike Dean. Liverpool fans see Mike Dean as biased with them.

One good fact is that under nine games of him being in charge, Liverpool has six wins and a draw. The transfer market also shows that Mike Dean has never sent any Liverpool player off. No Liverpool player has been sent off by Mike Dean, whether a double yellow or a straight red.

Since Jurgen Klopp’s men have registered back-to-back 0-5 away wins in the Premier League, The Reds will be confident. Therefore, Brighton should be an easy clash as Liverpool will eye another 3 points.

It will be a surprise if Graham Potter’s seagulls get a result at Anfield. Liverpool are riding high at the moment and will want to continue that.  However, Mike Dean might be concerning some Liverpool fans but with the form the Reds are in right now it’s very hard to see them dropping any points.
