Liverpool fans were stunned when former footballer Clinton Morrison suggested that their beloved Mo Salah could be sold this summer if a £100m+ offer comes in.

Despite the Reds previously turning down a whopping £150m bid from the Saudi Pro League, Morrison believes that a nine-figure offer could tempt the club to cash in on their star forward.

BBC Radio Comments Spark Debate Regarding Mo Salah Liverpool Future

Speaking on BBC Radio 5 Live (Via Liverpool Echo, Morrison praised Salah’s incredible goal-scoring ability but hinted that his age and contract situation might push Liverpool to consider selling him.

“No Liverpool fan or the new manager coming in would want to lose Salah. His numbers playing from the right-hand side are fantastic. His numbers are ridiculous. Will they be able to get a player who can replicate what Salah can do? But he is getting to that age where if you get over £100m for him, I can see him leaving this summer.”

Morrison said.

The Dilemma of Selling a Legend

Known as the Egyptian King Mo Salah has been a goal machine for Liverpool, scoring 25 times last season and 211 goals in his seven years at the club. His ability to find the net consistently makes him invaluable, even as he approaches the final 12 months of his contract.

While some argue that selling a 32-year-old player for over £100m makes sense, especially with less than a year on his contract, others caution against such a move. Liverpool fans recall the disappointment after selling Luis Suarez and failing to find a worthy replacement.

The real challenge lies in reinvesting the money wisely. Liverpool can’t afford to repeat past mistakes, and any decision to sell Salah must come with a concrete plan to bring in a player who can match his incredible impact.

As the summer transfer window heats up, Liverpool fans will be watching closely to see if their club decides to keep their scoring sensation or cash in on a massive offer.
