Liverpool are looking to sign the 23-year-old Aston Villa’s Boubacar Kamara after Henderson and Fabinho are reportedly leaving the club.
It seems that the two experienced midfield duo are set to be heading to Saudi Arabia. After signing two exciting midfielders already, the Reds are still looking to sign more midfielders.
Many reports have suggested the usual targets like Kalvin Phillips, Sofyan Amrabat, Romeo Lavia, and others.
However, there is a new name in the list of midfield targets right now. The 23-year-old Aston Villa player, Boubacar Kamara is now on the wishlist of the Merseysiders.
As per The Athletic, the Frenchman is under consideration at Anfield. The French midfielder is coming off the back of what was a successful debut season in the PL.
Indeed, he could be just what Klopp needs at Liverpool as a midfield solution.
Boubacar Kamara being linked to Liverpool?
Being described as a midfield ‘phenomenon’ before joining Villa, Kamara’s stock has only grown since his move to England. He really got into his stride under Unai Emery towards the end of last season.
The player had 24 appearances in the league last season and played the majority of his minutes as a defensive midfielder.
After a wonderful season that saw them qualify for the UEFA Conference League, the Villians aim to break into the top 4.
This would make it hard for the Reds, and Villa won’t be parting ways with any of their prized assets without huge fees attached.
As one of the finest clubs in the Premier League, Villa aren’t one to be bullied in the transfer market.
This means that if Liverpool want to sign the player, they need to flex their financial prowess.
However, as such a talented player at the age of 23, Kamara could be the long-term solution to Liverpool’s midfield problems.
Moreover, if the Reds get their player, that would be a great investment for the future.
