Liverpool forward Mohamad Salah rejects the club’s recent offer, as contract talks between the Egyptian and the club have broken down.
Mo Salah has rejected Liverpool’s latest offer and the Egyptian’s current contract expires in the summer of 2023. But Anfield hierarchy are desperate to tie the star forward to a new deal.
But Salah and his representatives have made it clear he won’t sign it unless an improved offer comes in. Previously, Salah made it clear he wants to stay at Liverpool. But he understandably feels he deserves better terms than what the club’s currently offering.
Liverpool’s latest offer in December was knocked back by Salah and his representatives and since then talks have taken place.
Meanwhile, on Friday, Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas Issa posted seven laughing emojis on Twitter in response to Klopp’s press conference comments.
I think Mo definitely expects this club to be ambitious and we are. It’s Mo’s decision,
The club did what it can do. It is all fine. All fine from my point of view. Nothing has happened further, no signing, no rejection, we just have to wait. Completely fine, no rush.
As Salah’s contract expiration date is approaching fast, Liverpool soon will face a choice between cashing in on him or keeping him in the hope of completing a deal with the risk of losing Salah for free.
Where could Mo Salah head if he were to leave Liverpool?
Since arriving from AS Roma to Liverpool in 2017 and since then his journey with the Merseysiders have been astonishing. The Egyptian’s own performances have been record-breaking.
This season Salah recorded a 10 match scoring strike in a row, a record for a Liverpool player. Moreover, many new records have been set and broken by Liverpool No.11.
But Salah’s contract situation has led to speculations as to where the forward could end up if he’s to Liverpool.
We at Anfield Home have picked up three potential suitors for Mo Salah
Real Madrid is sure to be linked with Salah. The Santiago Bernabeu outfit have always been attracted to world-class footballers. Currently, the La Liga leaders are looking for Kylian Mbappe, but the deal remains uncertain.
If Real Madrid president Florentino Perez does come in for Salah it won’t be surprising though.
Meanwhile, another Spanish giant Barcelona could make a move for the winger if the uncertainties of Salah’s deal continue at Anfield.
With Blaugrana undergoing massive renovation under club legend Xavi’s appointment as manager in November. Adding an elite performer like Mo Salah would surely be a big boost for the Catalan club.
But the club from Ligue 1, Paris Saint Germain could realistically bring Salah from Anfield to Parc de prince. The club can surely pay Salah his desired wage. Moreover, the situation regarding their star player Kylian Mbappe also makes this transfer interesting.
Real Madrid have been heavily linked with the French star and also Daily Express reports that the Ligue 1 outfit are considering getting rid of Neymar Jr.
So all these suggest the PSG can make room for Liverpool’s priced asset Salah in Paris.
