Pre-season friendlies are a good way for players to get ready for the new season.
But we have always seen that it causes a lot of injuries. The primary reason is that players come after a long vacation, and their bodies are not ready for even a friendly competition.
So is the situation in Liverpool FC, where many of their talents are not playing the pre-season due to injury.
Since moving to Anfield, Calvin Ramsay has yet to make an appearance for Liverpool fans, but the Scotsman has hinted he may “soon” do so.
He moved to Liverpool from Aberdeen for a possible £6.5 million cost. And Trent Alexander-Arnold wi;; definitely face competition from him for the starting right-back position.
According to Jurgen Klopp, Ramsay had an injury that was discovered during his physical examination. So, this was before his transfer was approved and finished.
Klopp told the official club website:
Unfortunately, Calvin is now not training with us at the moment, he has a little injury. Nobody knew; we found it when he did his medical check. Until today he has had no problems, but the medical department tells us if we don’t take care of that now, he will have a problem in the future.
So, when you are that young then, of course, he has a long career ahead of him, so we are very responsible in these moments, so he didn’t train yet with the team but is doing a lot of fitness work.
So, it will not take too long, I think. So I didn’t see him yet in training but everything we saw about him, we heard about him, I heard from him: a fantastic boy.”
Klopp was full of praise for the youngster. Appreciating his game development at such a young age. And he also believes he is too young and will be growing further. And Klopp believes he is the closest thing to what was needed at Anfield.

It’s fantastic to see Ramsay back in the squad and practicing ahead of the start of the Premier League season. And fans would be really happy to find out that he will be in the squad when the Reds take on RB Leipzig tonight.
