‘I didn’t get that’: Klopp baffled by what Thiago told him

Jurgen Klopp was not sure what Thiago Alcantara told after he was subbed out for Liverpool against Manchester United.

After knocking out Manchester City from the FA Cup semi-finals, Liverpool dominated the game against Manchester United at Anfield scoring 4 goals at home and scoring a total of 9 goals this season against the Red Devils.

Moreover, Liverpool took the top spot in the Premier League having 2 points more than the defending champions after defeating the Red half of Manchester. However, Man City have now regained their apex position after defeating Brighton by 3-0 yesterday.

However, the Sky Blues have one game in hand. Every match that will be played by the Reds and the Citizens will exactly be like a final match for them and the team who loses any match will lose its grip on the title.

What did Thiago say to Klopp?

Jurgen Klopp subbed out Thiago after his brilliant performance for the Reds that helped them win 4-0 over their rivals in the Premier League.

While speaking to the press, Jurgen Klopp claimed that he could not figure out what Thiago was saying to him on the touchline.

He ripped his pants! No, shorts… afterwards he told me. I didn’t get that

Klopp said

I thought it was something else, but obviously that was fine.

Klopp added

When Jurgen Klopp subbed Thiago in the 80th minute, we could see Klopp doing a quick double-take after talking to Thiago on the touchline.

Thiago for Liverpool

After, leaving the German side Bayern Munich Thiago Alacantara joined the Merseyside club. Thiago’s fitness has been a concern for the Reds since the Spanish international joined the club in 2020.

Surprisingly, despite getting injured very frequently Alacantara has somehow managed to play 60 games for the club and has proved worthy of himself and still making him one of the biggest midfielders in the world.

However, having such a talented and hard-working player in the squad always gives an edge to the Reds over the other teams. This makes Liverpool altogether a stronger unit and has also helped them strengthen their squad depth.
