How can Liverpool line up their over-powered attack
Liverpool supporters may begin to consider how Jürgen Klopp will line up his attack for the upcoming season now that they know Mo Salah will remain at Anfield for a few more seasons.
A huge sigh of relief for the Reds. As the Egyptian King is staying at Anfield.
Mo Salah will be staying till 2025 on a massive contract from Liverpool.
Now, Liverpool have arguably the most over-powered attack in all of Europe with a huge array of options available to the German tactician.
Liverpool already had players like Mo Salah, Diogo Jota, Luis Diaz, and Roberto Firmino on their roster before losing Sadio Mané. In addition to those four, two newcomers will now be vying for a starting position.
Along with Fabio Carvalho, who transferred from Fulham, Darwin Nuez has joined Benfica in a transaction valued up to £85.5 million.
Although neither player has a track record in the Premier League. Liverpool supporters will still be hopeful that they can swiftly adjust to the demands of the English top division.
How will Liverpool line up their attack?
In his debut year at Anfield, the 19-year-old Carvalho is likely to have more of a supporting role.
In cup games, he will step in as needed and look to challenge his fellow strikers from the sidelines.
On the other hand, Nunez will be looking to join Jürgen Klopp’s starting lineup right away.
Liverpool’s decision to sign the Uruguayan constitutes a bit of a risk. As he has not yet played football in one of Europe’s top five divisions.
However, by being given the starting position as the centre-forward, one has the suspicion that Nunez will be dropped into the deep end right away. In his place, Roberto Firmino will fill in. And Mo will take up the Right-wing.
Ousmane Dembélé, Rodrygo, and Marco Asensio have all been mentioned in connection with a move to Liverpool to fill such a position. But they won’t be making the switch in light of Salah’s contract extension.
There will be fierce competition on the left. Liverpool has two of the league’s most feared wide forwards in Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota.
Diaz will probably preserve his spot for the time being following a great finish to the season. If he wants to keep Jota out, he will need to maintain his strong season-ending form.
Therefore, when Liverpool kicks off their Premier League campaign in a little over a month at Fulham, Darwin Nuez is likely to start in the middle of Luis Diaz and Mo Salah.
