Fans Mock Jota After Clash With Ronaldo: Training Session Interrupted
As Euro 2024 is knocking on the doors, the Al-Nassr champ returned to train for Portugal. But, jeering chants could be heard for Diogo Jota after he clashed with Cristiano Ronaldo.
But while both of them were spending their time on the field, Ronaldo and Jota saw something strange. Supporters invaded the session and everything turned into chaos out of nowhere.
What Happened Between Cristiano Ronaldo And Diogo Jota?
Before turning up the heat in the Euro Cup matches ahead, Roberto Martinez and his team decided to hold a training session.
These types of events are not new but, for Portugal, things did not go as planned at all. Their open training module ended in absolute chaos and a fight with supporters.
But, what made the fans jeer Diogo Jota while he played with Cristiano Ronaldo?
After the invasion ended, authorities removed supporters from the field successfully. In this training match, Diogo Jota was playing alongside Cristiano Ronaldo. The Liverpool forward star had to hear some jeers from the audience on that day.
Ronaldo got a friendly ball challenge from Jota while they were practising. The duo does share a good bond as a part of the Portugal squad.
After Jota made a friendly contest with Ronaldo for the ball, he pushed the Al-Nassr star to the ground while having a laugh. That hearty joke was also reciprocated by CR7 afterwards.
The fans just decided to mock the Liverpool forward with some words right after that. Portugal supporters were jokingly jeering Diogo Jota after he challenged Cristiano Ronaldo.
Fans Invade Portugal Grounds: Jose Spears Invader
In order to hold their open training session in Westphalia, Portugal arranged for 6000 free tickets. But somehow, at the end of the day, we came to know that 8000 fans gathered for that event.
While Ronaldo, Jota and other players were on the field, twelve fans managed to invade the ground.
Most of them were actually targeting CR7, and sprinting towards him. While security personnel managed to catch them, a few managed to sneak right past their defences.
CR7 even took a selfie with one of them – but Jose Sa was fierce with his intervention techniques. Jose ran across the field and took down an invader with a rugby tackle.
