Fabrizio Romano reports Klopp will sign another midfielder this window

According to Fabrizio Romano, Klopp has his eyes on other targets as his pursuit of a £49M baller intensifies.

Perhaps the most trustworthy news outlet in the world of football has just verified that Liverpool will bring in a midfielder before the transfer window closes.

The Reds spent this summer signing Darwin Nunez and Fabio Carvalho. Both of the signings have had promising debut games for Liverpool.

Thiago is currently out for at least six weeks due to an injury. This will be adding to their midfield issues. Thus, it appears that talk of a prospective signing is getting more serious.

Jurgen Klopp has been vague and dismissive about making another acquisition. But we may have got proof that the team is looking into midfield targets.

Romano on Klopp interest in signing a midfielder

Romano was talking about Liverpool’s long-term interest in Watford’s Ismaila Sarr. Sarr managed to score an early goal of the season candidate last night; football journalist Fabrizio Romano made the allegation about Liverpool.

Romano claimed:

Liverpool have followed Watford forward Ismaila Sarr “for years” and while he could leave Vicarage Road before the end of the window”.

The 24-year-old Sarr has hit 10 Premier League goals for the Hornets in 50 games. But he gave Liverpool significant difficulties in the 2019–20 campaign and could be a fantastic alternative on the wings.

Additionally, being at a Championship team would prevent the transfer cost from becoming very excessive.

He went on to say that Klopp “has his eyes on other targets,”. This may indicate that Liverpool may pursue a midfielder who is increasingly necessary considering their midfield problems.

We know Liverpool has shown interest in players like Nicolo Barella, Jude Bellingham, and Matheus Nunes based on the reports we’ve seen over the summer.

Bellingham and Barella are high-profile acquisitions that will probably be sought next summer. Although, Nunes has emerged as the wise and practical choice.

According to the most recent sources (Correio da Manha), Nunes will hold off until Liverpool plays in the Champions League and competes for trophies.

Liverpool will undoubtedly be compelled to make a play for Nunes before another elite club signs him due to their injury problems.
