Liverpool are into the final month of the season and are left with potentially seven key fixtures in their quest for Quadruple.

The Reds are entering into the final month of the season, after seeing off a hectic month of April. Liverpool defeated Newcastle in a narrow win of 1-0 in the last game of April.

Meanwhile, City’s win against Leeds United leaves Liverpool still in second place in the league table.

Therefore, in the remainder of Premier League fixtures, Liverpool have to be at their absolute best. Meanwhile, hope for City to drop points.

But the worry for Liverpool fans seems, that neither of the teams looks likely to drop points, which will ultimately hand the trophy to Man City.

Other the other hand, Klopp’s men have an important final to play at Wembley in the FA Cup. Also, the Reds have one foot in the Champions League final. The Reds are in a commanding position with 2-0 lead in the semis of the Champions League tie against Villarreal.

Key fixtures for Liverpool in May run-in

Relentless Liverpool will look to end the season on high after being consistent throughout the season so far.

May 3 – Villarreal (A)

Having already taken a two-goal cushion against Villarreal in the two-legged semi-finals in the Champions League, Klopp will want his boys to get the job done in Spain.

The German is fully aware of the threat the Yellow Submarine provides with support of the home crowd.

A big tie for Liverpool to book a place in the final at Paris.

May 7 – Tottenham (H)

A massive game at home for Liverpool. A contrasting situation for the clubs.

The home side wants to win the League and cannot afford to drop points, meanwhile, Spurs will visit Anfield with their goal set on finishing in the top four and cannot lead to any slip-up. Spurs are currently in a tight top four race alongside Arsenal and Manchester United.

Pretty sure, Manchester United aren’t finishing four top. isn’t it?

May 10 – Aston Villa (A)

Well, this one is an interesting one. Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard against his former club.

Klopp signing a new contract at Anfield, which rules out the prospect of Steven Gerrard taking over as Liverpool manager as early as 2024. But the former Reds captain still has a big role to play in Liverpool’s title hopes.

Gerrard’s Villa will take on both Liverpool and Man City in the final four games of the season.

Steve G and Phil Coutinho former Reds can finally help Liverpool lift the Premier League, which both nearly did in the 2013-14 season.

Finally time for redemption for Gerrard for his famous slip?

May 14 – FA Cup final

They meet again. Two of the oldest rivals meet again in the Wembley final.

Previously, Liverpool defeated Chelsea in an intriguing final to lift the EFL Cup trophy back in February.

After defeating heavyweights Man City in the semis, Klopp’s men will fancy their chances in the final whom they have already beaten on the previous Wembley date.

May 17 – Southampton (A)

Liverpool’s final away trip in Premier League will end at St Mary’s, as Klopp & Co will make a trip to Southcoast.

The Merseysiders have won the previous eight of the nine meetings, but Klopp won’t be taking Raph Hasenhuttle’s side lightly, as last season they shocked the world by beating Liverpool 1-0.

The Austrian was seen getting emotional and crying when the final whistle blew. Pretty sure Klopp remembers it, won’t repeat the same mistake.

May 22 – Final day of the Premier League

The current form of both Liverpool and Man City suggests the title race could go down to the final day of the Premier League season.

On the final day, Wolves will make a trip to Anfield. Meanwhile, Man City will host Aston Villa.

Wolves are currently eyeing European football, but their form have dropped lately.

Hopefully, Liverpool lift the trophy this time in front of the Kop, touchwood.

May 28 – Champions League final?

Liverpool supporters will be hoping to make a trip to Stade de France in Paris for the final of the Champions League.

If Liverpool does seal the two-legged semi-final against Villarreal at the start of the month, they will set up a meeting with either Real Madrid or Man City in the final.

Seventh Champions League trophy in the trophy cabinet?
