Liverpool Forward Witnesses The Frustration Of Cristiano Ronaldo
This is not the first time we have seen the Portugal star this much offended. For a change, this time, Diogo Jota was present there while Cristiano Ronaldo got angry. It was not a personal conflict, but, over something unexpected.
Diogo Jota Watched Cristiano Ronaldo Raging Over Snub
The match between Portugal and Georgia did not end on a positive note at all. It has left Portuguese fans fuming, and their star player utterly disappointed after it.
Jota was there, and he saw Cristiano Ronaldo raging during the match. Georgia finished off with a sweet 2-0 finish, hence dominating over Portugal.
Their victory sent Georgia to the Euro 2024 knockout stages of Group F. CR7 was already facing some issues while the match was going on.
After the Portugal coach decided to substitute him, the player was furious. Liverpool star Diogo Jota was there on the benches, and he saw a frustrated Cristiano kick a water bottle.
Ronaldo wanted a penalty kick after someone reportedly tugged his shirt. After referee Sandro Schaerer did not award him with it, Ronaldo’s rage earned him a yellow card.
Roberto Martinez was quick to sub off CR7 after the 66th minute, which made him angry. After kicking a bottle out of frustration, Cristiano Ronaldo was welcomed to the bench by Diogo Jota and his other teammates.
Although Jota was benched, he did not stay away from cheering Ronaldo up.
On the other hand, despite his rage, Cristiano gifted Khvicha Kvaratskhelia his game jersey. It was a beautiful gesture from the football maestro towards the Georgian.
