Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has given his verdict on how the title race might pan out for Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal are aiming to win the Premier League title this season.
At present, Liverpool under the management of Jurgen Klopp sit atop the league standings with 63 points accrued from 27 matches, having already secured the Carabao Cup earlier in the season.
City, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season, are second with 59 points from 26 games.
Arsenal, who pushed City hard for the title last season, are third with 58 points from 26 matches.
Arsenal star Declan Rice comments on Liverpool and Manchester City
Declan Rice, the summer transfer for Arsenal from West Ham United, his former London and Premier League rival, during the summer of 2023, has praised City and Liverpool as ‘incredible.’
Rice told Sky Sports,
“I hate watching it now, I hate watching it. I see the results but I just try to focus on what we’re doing. We can’t control what others are doing.
The league is so strong. City are unbelievable, Liverpool are unbelievable, Spurs have been unreal under Ange, Villa under Emery have been so good as well.”
Our View: Liverpool and Manchester City Ahead of Arsenal in Title Race
In our opinion, Liverpool and Manchester City are ahead of Arsenal in the race for the Premier League title this season.
Arsenal possess a strong team and are adept at scoring goals, despite lacking a prolific goal-scorer akin to Mohamed Salah or Erling Haaland.
However, Liverpool and City have more experience and know how to get the job done in the final weeks and months of the season.
City have become the dominating force in English football under manager Pep Guardiola, while Liverpool have won the Premier League title under Jurgen Klopp.
