Renowned journalist Christian Falk has shared important update about what future holds for Jorg Schmadtke in regards to his time at Liverpool.
The fine form of the Reds have been a thing of envy for most of their opponents and rivals. They are currently enjoying the lead in the PL points table, they also qualified for the latter stages of UEL and FA Cup and most recently secured a 2-1 victory at home against Fulham.
One of the main reasons the Merseysiders are able to compete so effortlessly in all competitions is because of the successful midfield rebuild. The club executed an extensive midfield revamp over the summer, spending over £140m.
Moreover, the addition of Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo and Ryan Gravenberch has worked wonders for the Anfield giants. And the mastermind overseeing all these transfers was Jorg Schmadtke.
Schmadtke is not sure what he will decide then. He’ll hear what Liverpool wants and, because he likes the club very much and is enjoying his role there, I suspect he’ll think about extending his stay if they tell him they need him longer.
At the moment, it’s really open and his contract is ending in June, so he’s not currently set to help the club with their summer window dealings.
With that in mind, it’s important they talk early, as they can’t start talks on July 1st ahead of the new season.”
The German transfer market strategist working hand-in-hand with Jurgen Klopp behind the curtains has really helped the club so far. If Schmadtke chooses to extend his tenure at Anfield it will be beneficial for Liverpool in the coming days.
