Caoimhin Kelleher Urged To Leave Liverpool

Kelleher has always shown his quality whenever he has got the chance to play in the absence of Allison Becker.

LFC fan’s often labelled him as the ‘Best 2nd choice goalkeeper.’

Irish Manager Heimir Hallgrimsson on if Kelleher needed to leave Liverpool:

“Of course, especially when he showed everyone that he can play at the highest level.

It would be a shame if he’s not playing regularly after he has already shown everyone how good he is, the level he played at.”

Caoimhin Kelleher was second-choice in the national team as well, behind Southampton goalkeeper Gavin Bazunu.

These comments from the manager might indicate that he is ready to promote him as first choice keeper for the Irish national team.

Kelleher had 26 starts last season due to Allison’s injury his most productive campaign in his career so far.

Kelleher had earlier mentioned of his desire to play more as first choice hinting he wants to leave the club.

Liverpool are currently without Allison during pre-season training and loosing Kelleher would be huge loss.

Kelleher definitely has the quality to become first choice and he can’t be blamed for wanting more playing time since he is 26 y/o and is in the best possible form.
