A sole goal from Fabhino was enough for Liverpool to secure a win against Burnley and put pressure on Manchester City. Let’s look at the Liverpool Burnley match highlights.

Klopp made four changes to the squad that won against Leicester. Man of the match Jota and Debutant Luis Diaz were dropped for AFCON winner Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah.

Henderson and Keita also started the game as Jones and Thiago found themselves on the bench.

Both teams started the game playing true to their style. While Liverpool tried to create from the middle of the park, Burnley played their traditional low block.

Liverpool looked quite anxious in the start and lacked edge in the final half. Burnley on the other hand had two good chances in the first 20 minutes. The first one was Josh Brownhill’s long-range attempt followed by Cornet’s shot in the box.

Liverpool’s first chance came in the 21st minute, when Mane created a chance for Naby Keita, only for Nick Pope to save it. Alisson then was called into action twice again in the next ten minutes. First by Wout Weghorst and then by Jay Rodriguez.

First 35 minutes, Liverpool barely created any chances and looked like a shell of their best self. Even the passing in the midfield was erratic.

Then in the 40th minute, Liverpool finally got a breakthrough. Sadio Mane headed on the near post, which Pope saved, but Fabhino was quick to pounce on the rebound and score. 1-0 to Liverpool.

In the second half, Liverpool come out looking much better. They control the game and keep Burnley on the bay. The second half is very dull compared to the first.

The only real chance that is created is by Wout Weghorst whose mid-range shot is saved by Alisson, clearly the best player of the night.

In the last 10 minutes, Ben Mee almost scored an own goal but to Liverpool’s luck, it did not go in.

The complicated game then finally came to an end for Jurgen Klopp’s men, who were below par on the night. These were the Liverpool Burnley match highlights from us, what was your favourite moment?
