Liverpool turn their attention back to Premier League as they travel to South East of England in Amex Stadium to face Brighton & Hove Albion

Jurgen Klopp had a shocking defeat in the hands of Inter Milan in the Champions League Round of 16 tie in the midweek.

With the team flying high with the recent good run form which includes winning the EFL Cup. Liverpool were brought back to the ground with the Nerazzuris beating the Reds 1-0 at Anfield.

In spite of the defeat, Liverpool still progressed on the aggregate scoreline 2-1 to reach the quarterfinals of the Champions League competition.

Meanwhile, in the Premier League Liverpool defeated West Ham 1-0 last weekend to keep the pressure on Man City for the title chase. Similarly, Liverpool will have to make sure they get the win against Brighton as well.

Liverpool team news ahead of Brighton & Hove Albion clash

In the previous fixture against Brighton at Anfield, the Seagulls came from behind to drew 2-2. Liverpool were absolutely cruising at 2-0 but surrendered their two-goal lead.

That game back in October was the last game Liverpool had conceded two or more goals at Anfield. That’s quite astonishing, right?

Now let’s look at the team news ahead of the Premier League match-up between Brighton and Liverpool.

Injuries & Suspensions

Roberto Firmino

Roberto Firmino has had his struggle for injuries in recent times. The Brazilian who was once part of the deadly trio along with Salah and Mane. But his recent drop in form and injuries have not helped at all.

Since making an appearance against Inter Milan at San Siro last month and scoring that night, Firmino hasn’t kicked the ball. And looks set to miss the Brighton trip due to the muscular problem.

Suspensions

Liverpool have no players suspended for this upcoming game against the Seagulls.
