Brazilian media have praised Liverpool target Andre Trindade for his performances in the Copa Libertadores final clash between Fluminese and Boca Juniors.

Fluminese triumphed over Argentine side Boca Juniors in an incredible Copa Libertadores final.

The Brazilian side secured a 2-1 victory deep into extra time to win the grandest prize in all of South America among fireworks and chaos.

And in this epic clash, one player from both sides also got sent off. But the talking point of the match has been Andre’s performance on the field. Brazilian media has heavily lauded the midfielder’s display in the final.

Andre praised for Copa Libertadores final performance

Brazilian publication Globo rated the Brazilian midfielder 8.5 which makes it clear how much of a great game he had for the Brazilian side. The media outlet labeled the midfielder as a ‘jewel’.

He had a staggering 95% passing accuracy, and 79 touches, coupled with defensive prowess in tackles and recoveries winning most of the duels on the ground and on air.

ESPN Brasil were also highly impressed with the 22-year-old’s display on yesterday night.

He might have had his best game yet in his career. And this goes to show that the decision by Fluminese to keep making him stay in the club has paid off very well.

Andre has shown his command and level of composure on the big occasion. This has well-documented his abilities in front of the world which is more than what LFC would have asked for.

But this will also increase the chances of other clubs turning their attention towards the Liverpool target. Now for the Merseysiders to secure the deal, they will have to submit an early bid.

Despite the player having agreed on a verbal deal with the Anfield giants, the increased demand might see a hike in the market price of Andre.
