‘An act of dishonour towards Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’ by BBC

Liverpool had a thumping victory on Saturday but yet what happened during the post-match interview with Steven Gerrard went viral on social media. And some netizens especially Liverpool fans consider the act from BBC as disrespectful towards Jurgen Klopp.

As posted by Anfield Edition on Twitter, at the manager’s post-match interview after Aston Villa’s win at Crystal Palace BBC mistakenly labelled Steven Gerrard as ‘Liverpool Manager’ instead of ‘Aston Villa Manager’.

A hilarious error by the editorial team of BBC Sport left Liverpool fans very upset.

Indeed it is also disrespectful for Aston Villa as well whom Steven Gerrard is currently managing.

There are lots of speculations regarding Steven Gerrard being Liverpool Manager in the future. After all, the Reds legend is the favourite to take over after Klopp’s departure.

Although it’s too early to consider the 41-year-old as a future Liverpool boss who is yet to prove himself worthy in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Klopp’s contract expires in the summer of 2024 as Liverpool manager. And some reports suggest he will end his tenure at Merseyside once his contract comes to an end.

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard’s appointment as Aston Villa manager early this month saw Villa take six points from the last two games. Prior to Gerrard’s arrival, the Midland club registered just 10 points from 11 Premier League games.

So far, it’s been a successful start for Steven Gerrard as a Villa manager. And it looks like Villa have their newfound spirit under the 41-year-old once again.
