Liverpool will travel to Goodison Park to face Everton, let’s have look at the team news.

The Premier League midweek fixtures are back and the Reds will be looking to score some bangers. Jurgen Klopp’s side thrashed Southampton with yet another big margin win with 4 goals. A brace from Jota and goals from van Dijk and Champions League scorer Thiago brought Liverpool their 8th league win of this seasons campaign.

In their most recent away league match, they lost 3-2 by West Ham United on November 7, but since then they have managed to bounce back with 4-0 victories over Arsenal and Southampton.

Liverpool are comfortably sitting at 3rd at the table while Rafa Benitez’ side is at 14th.

Liverpool vs Everton: Team news

Injuries

Naby Keita

Naby Keita is still out with a hamstring injury, though he was close to playing against Southampton. But Klopp didn’t take any chances and it looks like he won’t be ready for the Merseyside derby as well.

Harvey Elliott

Harvey Elliott is making decent improvements in his healing from a major ankle injury. However, he won’t be able to rejoin the team for a while.

Roberto Firmino

Roberto Firmino is expected to be out for at least another couple of weeks due to a hamstring injury. The Brazilian picked up the injury against Atletico Madrid in early November.

Curtis Jones

Curtis Jones’ eye injury will force him out for “a few weeks,” with the midfielder combating to return before the 2021 ends. Thus, the Everton game might come too soon for him.

Joe Gomez

Joe Gomez is making good progress in his rehabilitation from a calf injury, and the defender is expected to be back on his feet before the new year.

Suspension

Fortunately, there is no player suspended for the clash, hence except for injured ones, Klopp has some decisions to make for the weekend clash.
