A huge injury boost handed to Liverpool ahead of Man United Clash

Liverpool will be facing Manchester United for their next EPL fixture and they have reportedly been handed a huge injury boost.

There have been some fantastic team updates for Liverpool for Monday’s visit to Manchester United.

Early the next week, Jurgen Klopp’s team travels to Old Trafford for a crucial matchup between two Premier League rivals.

Liverpool has fallen four points behind Manchester City after drawing their first two Premier League games of the season.

And Klopp is already facing fitness issues concerning team selection.

Injury boost for Liverpool as Firmino might play

The Reds manager is now without a regular number nine as Roberto Firmino and Diogo Jota will both be out injured for the visit. And also as a result of Darwin Nunez’s suspension for receiving a red card against Crystal Palace.

The Goal, however, has learned that Firmino will be available for selection, providing a significant “boost” for the boss, labelling him as a ‘world-class’ player.

The report also states that his absence from Palace was solely preventative.

This is fantastic news because Brazil international has been a key part of Liverpool’s success over the years.

On Wednesday, HITC Sport talked about how Klopp might have been compelled to utilize Fabio through the middle due to a lack of other options.

But now that Firmino is ready, Klopp will have a lot less to worry about in the days leading up to the game.

The German manager still has a lot of injury worries, especially in the midfield. But having a proven, devastating front-three is also crucial.

Meanwhile, Man United are going through a crisis of their own. As fans prepare to show a demonstration against the Glazers family. The fans believe the ownership is incompetent to manage the club and is the sole reason for their downfall.

Manchester United have had the worst two opening games of their history. They lost to Brighton and Brentford, while the loss against Brentford is their worst away league loss since 1939.
