“A good coach is coming to England” -Jurgen Klopp on new Man United interim boss Ralf Rangnick

Jurgen Klopp shared his view on Ralf Rangnick in the pre-match press conference for Liverpool’s clash against Southampton tomorrow. The one who Manchester United are looking to bring to Old Trafford as an Interim manager.

The Red Devils sacked their manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after United lost to Watford by 4 -1. With United still searching for a new manager for next summer, they have their eyes set on the German to hold the realm till summer.

The 63-year-old German manager has managed 14 clubs from 1983 to 2019. He has managed 722 games and won 345. his winning percentage is 47.8%. On 6 July 2021, Ralf signed a three-year contract as manager of sports and development for FC Lokomotive Moscow.

Klopp expresses his views on Ralf Rangnick being the new Manchester United interim manager.

Jurgen Klopp’s is full of respect for his fellow German manager. However, it is yet to be officially confirmed by Manchester United. On believing the rumours to be true, the Liverpool manager said

Usually, we don’t talk about things that aren’t confirmed yet. I might believe you you tell me they’re to happen

Unfortunately, a good coach is coming to England, to Manchester United. A really experienced manager built most famously two clubs from nowhere to proper threats and forces in Germany with Hoffenheim and Leipzig.

He did a lot of different jobs but his first concern was always being a coach, being a manager, and that’s what his best skill is, obviously.

United will be organized on the pitch. I think we should realize that and that’s obviously not good news for other teams!

But, of course, like all coaches in the world, we need time to train with our teams and Ralf will pretty quickly realize he has no time to train because they play all the time.

That makes it a bit trickier for him but apart from that, a really good man and an outstanding coach, if it happens, will come to England.

In the football world in Germany he is very, very well regarded, and rightly so.

Klopp faced Ralf Rangnick 13 times at his time in Germany and won only twice. It will be interesting to see the clash between the two great German managers as Liverpool meets United at Anfield on March 19th.
