The Premier League tie between Liverpool and Arsenal was postponed due to the EFL Cup final, is now all set to take place in March.

Several Premier League games were called off in December and January because of clubs claiming they were unable to field full squads as a result of Covid-19 and injuries.

The Premier League has now confirmed new dates for fixtures that were postponed earlier in the season.

Moreover, the clash between Liverpool and Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium was originally scheduled to take place next weekend. But that was postponed after both sides qualified for the semi-finals of the EFL Cup.

The rescheduled fixture of Arsenal and Liverpool in action will be played on Wednesday 16 March evening.

It will be the fourth time this season, both the teams are up against each other. Previously, in the Premier League tie at Anfield, the mighty Reds thrashed Gunners 4-0. Also in the two-legged EFL Cup semifinal, Liverpool cruised past Arsenal to book a place in the Wembley final.

The month of March is turning out to be a tricky month. We will see Liverpool face six games before we head into the international break.

The game at the Emirates now sits between the trip to Brighton on March 12 and the scheduled visit of Man United to Anfield on March 20. However, the game against the Red Devils will be replaced by the FA Cup quarter-final should Liverpool beat Norwich in the FA Cup Round of 16.

The Premier League tie between Arsenal and Liverpool is a late kick-off time of 8.15 pm (GMT) on March 8, Wednesday.
