Harvey Elliott’s time at Liverpool has had its fair share of highs and lows. A boyhood Red, Elliott has always worn his heart on his sleeve.
But this season, he’s found it tough under new boss Arne Slot. After suffering a foot injury early in the campaign, Elliott struggled to get back into the team — even after regaining fitness.
Despite the setback, one thing is clear: his value is on the rise. According to Transfermarkt, his market price has jumped from €15 million to €35 million.
That’s a big climb for a player who’s only started four games all season. And yet, there are rumors swirling about a possible exit.
Liverpool are reportedly open to selling Elliott, but only for a fee between $52 million and $64 million.
Newcastle United are said to be interested, but they don’t seem ready to splash that much cash. Bundesliga clubs are also watching closely. But should Liverpool even be thinking of letting him go?

Harvey Elliott is worth more than his price tag
Sure, he hasn’t played much this season. But in the limited time he has been on the pitch, he’s shown quality. His winner against Paris Saint-Germain was a reminder of what he brings — a spark, some flair, and real hunger.
Speaking after that game, Harvey Elliott admitted, “There are moments within the season where I am getting angry and frustrated because I want to play but at the same time I need to respect the situation.”
He added, “Moments like [PSG] keep me motivated and the hunger is still within me to go out and show what I can do.”
Even Arne Slot knows Elliott deserves more minutes. The manager said, “Harvey is a great example of this. He has done so well for this club and he trains well but he is in competition with Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai.”
Elliott is still only 22 (turned 22 this month). He’s played nearly 150 games for Liverpool. He’s a player for the future — if not the present. Selling him now would be like handing away a winning ticket just before the draw.
Elliott’s rising value is no fluke — he’s proving his worth every time he steps on the pitch. Liverpool would be wise to hold on to this midfield gem.
