Liverpool star makes friend at another Premier League club

Liverpool star Owen Beck has made a friend for life while on loan at Blackburn Rovers in the English Championship.

The left-back who has been at the English second-tier club on a season-long loan recently picked up a serious hamstring injury that will see him take no further part in Blackburn’s season.

He is scheduled to return to his parent club after the 22-year-old, who was making his first appearance in almost two months against Portsmouth on March 29, but could only be on the pitch for 13 minutes.

Following his latest injury, Beck his expected to be out for eight weeks, which will be around the end of May, and the focus is now on him making his recovery in time for the Reds’ pre-season.

Liverpool star gets new friend at another club

During his time at Blackburn, the player from Wales seemed to create a bond with a young supporter of the club, as a video has surfaced online of several interactions between Owen Beck and the young lad.

AnythingLFC in a video on X, shared a clip of the pair, that showed the numerous occasions where the left-back and the kid met up before and after Rovers’ matches, for chats and conversations, signing of autographs, he even gave a gift to the player during Christmas.

In the post, AnythingLFC captions, “It’s hard falling in love with loan players. Liverpool’s Owen Beck has made a friend for life on loan at Blackburn.”

His tenure at Edwood Park was productive despite an abrupt end, as the 22-year-old made 25 appearances for the club and picked up 1,963 minutes of playing time on the pitch.

Beck, who turns 23 in August, has one year remaining on his contract at Anfield, which would drive a decision to be taken over the left-back’s future.
