Federico Chiesa stands at risk of missing out on a Premier League medal should Liverpool go on to lift the trophy at the end of the season in May.
The Italian winger has not had the start to life in England that he would have dreamt of, since making a move from Juventus last summer to join Arne Slot’s squad.
He had an injury-plagued first few months at the Kop end, but since returning from injury, the attacker has been barely used in matches.
Due to his limited game and woeful spell so far at Liverpool, the Italy national team coach Luciano Spalletti, in recent remarks, said that the forward has failed since making the switch to England.

Reasons Federico Chiesa could miss out on PL medal
According to Premier League rules, players who have played in five or more matches are eligible to secure a Premier League winners’ medal.
The 27-year-old has only made three appearances so far in the league this season, and this has stirred up controversy about him not getting his hands on a medal, provided Liverpool can hold on to the 13-point buffer they have at the summit of the table.
However, there is a huge chance of the Italian making an additional two appearances in the last 10 Premier League matches for the Reds, especially if Arne Slot’s men secure the title with a few matches left to play.
Thisisanfield reports that, although Chiesa might not reach the required number of games on a season, the forward could still get a medal, as winners of the title are awarded 40 medals to be shared amongst players, coaching staff and other officials.
Currently, only 21 players in the Liverpool squad have played five or more times in the Premier League this term while the only players failing to meet the five game mark in the league are Federico Chiesa, Jayden Danns and third-choice goalkeeper Vitezslav Jaros.
Title winning clubs also have the privilege of getting more medals apart from the 40 given by the Premier League, if the need arises. Bearing all this in mind, Federico Chiesa should get a medal come the end of the season, if Liverpool win the league.
